It’s possible: Clear UPTET in less preparation duration
The teacher is a noble profession in Indian society. Various states conduct an independent exam to recruit teachers for their respective territories. In Uttar Pradesh, the state government conducts UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test). It is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB). The purpose behind it is to fill teacher vacancies for middle schools and primary schools across the state. Every year the apex education board recruits several teachers and lakhs of aspirants appear for the UPTET examination. For the first aspirants or those who have less duration to prepare for the respective examination, we have something. In this post, we have compiled a few effective tips to clear the UPTET in two to three months.
Blueprint to clear the examination in less time
3 P‘s are essential
Planning, Preparation, and Practice are the three essentials to gear up for any examination. Whether it is SSC, UPSC or UPTET, or others, candidates have to follow these three Ps. Planning is important because it helps candidates for self-evaluation. If they plan properly and stick to a proper routine, definitely they will excel. Preparation is important because only planning won’t help anyone. It’s equally important to execute the plan. Different subjects need different preparation tactics, especially for children’s development and pedagogy (Paper –I, Primary Level topic). Refer to UPTET Previous year papers to get a better judgment. Next, practice makes the human perfect. One day of study and 4 days rest is not acceptable. Stick to one routine and practice more and more questions. It widens the cognitive ability that will train your brain to handle any complex questions.
Understand exam pattern & syllabus
Every examination has a unique structure and pattern. The same is for the UTET examination also. The syllabus includes English, Mathematics/Science, Social Science, 2 language subjects. It facilitates students to study according to subjects and important topics. There are two levels of the examination conducted offline.
- Level I examination to recruit Class 1st to 5th teachers
- Level-II examination for Class 7th to 8th teachers
The syllabus for both level examinations is different with the same pattern. In total, 150 questions are there with a time duration of 2.30 hours. Remember, there will be no deduction for wrong solutions. To meet the qualification criteria:
- General category candidate has to score 90/150
- SC/OBC/ST category candidate has to score 82/150
Enhance accuracy level
Although, there is no negative marking scheme applicable in the UPTET examination. But, it is important to deliver accurate solutions for candidates. Accurate solutions give good scores and increase the chances to get the Teacher’s job.
Short but informative notes
Rote learning and mugging up sample papers won’t help you out. Prepare short but informative notes which are easier to understand. If candidates have UPTET Books, they can highlight key points or sentences for revision. Reading the entire book before examination makes students confused and blank while writing answers. Highlighting key pointers boost the attention and understanding power. Also, if you have sticky notes, mention important points of concepts in books.
Summing up
The UPTET is the golden opportunity for many teaching aspirants. It offers good incentives and salary that grabs the attention of many aspirants. However, everything is not available in the silver spoon. Candidates have to put tremendous efforts and dedication. For their help, proper online resources and study materials are available for students to ace the UPTET examination. When time is less, engage yourself in smart study plans and connect with valuable peers who are serious about their career.
